Gemma Daubney
Actor and Deviser
Gemma is a core part of the Maybe You Like It team and has devised both of our stage shows with us. She is currently working with the BBC.
James Akka
Actor and Deviser
James is an actor and Maybe You Like It groupie. He was in both Redacted Arachnid and Pleading Stupidity with the company, and wrote and starred in Sorry (I Broke Your Arms and Legs). He’s a graduate of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He’s good at whistling and bad at writing artist bios.
Leeya Patel
Designer
Leeya designed and created our props and costumes for Pleading Stupidity.
Barney Newman
Actor, writer and deviser
Barney is a long time collaborator of MYLI. They have devised and appeared in all versions Pleading Stupidity, and have appeared on the MYLI podcast. They are currently writing an audio comedy project alongside our artistic director.
Kaitlyn Veloria
Marketeer
Kaitlyn is a marketing wizard who managed the original Oxford run of Pleading Stupidity. She now works stateside.
Rob Merriam
Actor and Improvisor
Rob is an actor and improviser trained as a musical theatre actor at the Royal Academy of Music. He has performed regularly as part of the Edinburgh University Theatre Company, The Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group and was the director of The Improverts.
Lauren Komer
Director
Lauren Komer is a theatre arts graduate of Brandeis University. Recent credits include Anton Pavlovich’s Garden Club (Director, Freeplay Theatre Cooperative), The Laramie Project (Assistant Director, Brandeis University), The Picture of Dorian Gray (Director, University of Oxford), Pleading Stupidity (Assistant Director, Burton Taylor Studio), Measure for Measure (Set Designer, Burton Taylor Studio), 5 Kinds of Silence (Director, Brandeis University), Talking With…(Director, Freeplay Theatre Co.), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Assistant Director, Hold Thy Peace), Blithe Spirit (Assistant Director, UTC). She currently serves as the Artistic Director of Freeplay Theatre Cooperative.
Harrison Gale
Writer, Actor, and Filmmaker
Harrison is based in New York City and Oxford. She is holds an MSt in film aesthetics form the University of Oxford. With MYLI, she appeared in both runs of Redacted Arachnid and co-hosts the new podcast Do Try This At Home with Caleb. She has created material for and/or performed with the Columbia Federalist, MidWave Magazine, Third Wheel Improv, and Chowdah Sketch Comedy. She is the creator and former co-host of Writer’s Unblock, an interview radio program which ran for 8 seasons on WBAR. In 2020, she produced her first documentary short, Here Comes the Flood. Her first full-length theatrical comedy, Nice Guys Finish Last was a second-round selection at the Austin Film Festival in 2019.
Maggie Moriarty
Actor
Maggie has had the privilege to work with MYLI twice; taking on the role of Assistant Director for ‘Pleading Stupidity’ and playing Mrs Banger in their radio adaptation of Bernard Shaw’s Press Cuttings. Other credits include co-writing and performing in ‘What Makes You a Woman’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and being selected to work with Complicité Theatre company as part of their young person’s outreach programme. Other Theatre credits at include, ‘Merrily We Roll Along’ at the Oxford Playhouse, 00production’s production of The Last Five Years as Cathy Hiatt, and King Richard in Richard II. She is currently trainign at Mountview
Harvey Dovell
Production Manager

Actor and Director
Gregor is an actor, director and runner who appeared in Pleading Stupidity and as a guest on The Maybe You Like It podcast. He is a co-founder of Deballify Productions.
Josh Clarke
Actor and Cinematographer
Josh is an actor and cinematographer. He has performed in a number of plays and musicals at including Maybe You Like It’s production Redacted Arachnid which he also performed with at the Edinburgh Fringe and Merrily We Roll Along which was performed at the Oxford Playhouse. He is currently involved in filming and editing a version of Twelfth Night which will be released at the end of the year as well as co-hosting, editing and producing for his shared YouTube channel The Average Blokes Show found at www.averageblokes.com.
Django Pinter
Multimedia Storyteller
Django is a multimedia storyteller and participatory arts practitioner working in any creative medium he can. He also drew the Maybe You Like It logo!
